1.2    Whether you are an individual user of the SSL applications (either as a driver or a customer), or a visitor of our websites, this Privacy Policy (together with any other policies or documents referred to in it) describes the type of information that we collect from you (“you/your“) through your use of our applications including www.soonas.com and www.crownsds.com) and how that information may be used or disclosed by us and the safeguards we use to protect it.

1.3    We have drafted this Privacy Policy to be as clear and concise as possible. Please read it carefully to understand how we will collect and use your data.

1.4    By using or accessing any of our applications and/or websites, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not accept and agree with this Privacy Policy, you must stop using our applications and/or websites immediately.

1.5    Our websites and applications may contain links to third-party websites that are not covered by this Privacy Policy. We ask you to review the privacy statements of other websites and applications to understand their information practices.

1.7    You have the right to make a complaint at any time to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection issues (www.ico.org.uk). We would, however, appreciate the chance to deal with your concerns before you approach the ICO so please contact our Privacy Manager (details of which are set out in paragraph 2.3 below) in the first instance.

1.8    If you are a self-employed driver engaged by CCL, or an individual that wishes to apply to be a verified driver on the “SoonAs Driver” application, details of the personal information we collect about you via the relevant application process and, in the case of CCL only, the ongoing engagement by CCL of you, are set out in our Driver Privacy Policy.

2. Who We Are

2.1    CCL and SSL are wholly owned subsidiaries of LSL.

2.2     The relevant group entity that you owns and operates the website and/or application that you are using is the data controller for the purposes of the Data Protection Legislation (as defined in paragraph and shall be responsible for your personal data. When this Privacy Policy uses the term “we”, it refers to that entity.

2.4    We respect your right to privacy and will only process personal information about you in accordance with the “Data Protection Legislation” which for the purposes of this Privacy Policy shall mean:

(i)   unless and until the GDPR is no longer directly applicable in the UK, the retained General Data Protection Regulation ((EU) 2016/679) (“UK GDPR”), as amended or updated from time to time and then

(ii)   any successor legislation to the UK GDPR or the Data Protection Act 2018 and other applicable privacy laws.

It does not include data which does not relate to an identified or identifiable natural person or to personal data rendered anonymous in such a manner that the data subject is no longer identifiable.

• Vehicle Data: vehicle registration plate and insurance policy details.

• Technical Data: IP address, login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, and other technology on the devices you use to access our website(s) and/or application(s).
• Profile Data: your username and password, reservations made by you, your interests, preferences, feedback, and survey responses.
• Usage Data: information about how you use our website(s) and/or application(s).
• Marketing and Communications Data: your preferences in receiving marketing from us and our third parties and your communication preferences.
• Interaction Data: any information that you might provide to any discussion forums on our website(s) and/or application(s).

• Third Parties and Information we receive from other sources: we may receive information about you if you use any of the other websites and/or applications we operate or through the services we provide.
• Analytics: we may use third-party analytics services to evaluate your use of our website(s) and/or application(s), compile reports on activity, collect demographic data, analyze performance metrics, and collect and evaluate other information relating to our website(s) and/or application(s) and internet usage.

We also collect, use, and share Aggregated Data such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose. Aggregated Data may be derived from your personal data but is not considered personal data in law as this data does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity.

We do not collect any Special Categories of personal data about you through your use of our application(s) and/or website(s). We do collect information about criminal convictions and offences, such as DBS assessments and DVLA vehicle licence checks, in the event of suspicion of criminal activity.

Our websites and applications are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children.

In accordance with our obligations under UK GDPR, we will ensure that your personal data is processed lawfully, fairly, and transparently, without adversely affecting your rights.
